Miley Cyrus has confirmed details of her new album "Bass Persuades," out on 18 September via Atlantic Records, alongside two homecoming concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 16 and 18 October. Announcing the record on Instagram, Cyrus described it as reflecting the full range of life's emotions, calling music "powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong." The shows mark a rare live return for the singer and appear set to feature the new album performed in full, with band Model/Actriz as special guest.
The announcement follows Cyrus's confirmed move from Columbia Records, home of her Grammy-winning "Endless Summer Vacation" and hit "Flowers," to Atlantic Records, and she now appears to be performing under the single name "Miley." Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl shows will be released in stages: an American Express presale on 8 September, Cyrus's own fan presale on 9 September, a Spotify "Introducing Reserved" allocation for top fans, and general onsale from 10 September, all at 10am PT. In a recent Wonderland interview with Darryl Hannah, Cyrus spoke about songwriting as an intuitive, almost mystical process, saying finished songs can feel like something she is "remembering" rather than creating.
