Burnley decided not to make an improved deadline-day offer for Sheffield United left-back Harrison Burrows after their initial bid was rejected. The decision meant a potential late move for the 24-year-old did not progress, leaving Burnley to focus on other transfer business and their existing defensive options.

The rejected offer was reportedly worth £3.5 million upfront and could have risen to £5 million through add-ons. Sheffield United were reluctant to sell a player regarded as important to their plans, particularly so late in the transfer window; Burrows has made 96 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Blades since joining in 2024.
