Little Big Town Recalls the ‘Unforgettable’ Experience of Attending Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Wedding
Little Big Town has shared behind-the-scenes details of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, which the country group attended alongside several fellow musicians. Speaking to The Tennessean to promote their new album, band members Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman described the couple as visibly happy, with Fairchild calling it "a joy to watch" and Schlapman labelling the event "unforgettable." The disclosure adds to the wave of public interest surrounding the couple's wedding and highlights Little Big Town's long-standing ties to Swift, who wrote their 2016 hit "Better Man."
The wedding took place on 3 July at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with guests asked to keep their invitations secret beforehand. Fairchild recalled discovering that Miranda Lambert was also attending through a roundabout conversation about the date, after which the pair realised several mutual friends—including Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin, Kelsea Ballerini, Kristian Bush and Maren Morris—were all invited and travelled together, singing Swift's "Love Story" en route. At the reception, Little Big Town's members reportedly kicked off their shoes to dance barefoot. The recollections come as the band promotes its 12th studio album, It's a Dying Art, ahead of its For the Art of It Tour launching 24 September.
