Jones broke through with the EP What I Didn't Tell You, which earned her a 2022 Grammy for best R&B performance for the track "ICU", before releasing her debut album Why Not More?, which reached No. 12 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 59 on the Billboard 200. She said she wants to keep pushing the boundaries of R&B with newer releases such as "LUVAGIRL" and "Body So Tea", even as some fans push back, and reflected on whether her early success has become "a blessing, a burden or a little bit of both" as she navigates expectations built around her earlier sound.
