Rams star Puka Nacua faces new abuse allegations as $150 million payday hangs in balance

Fox News · 4 hours ago

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua faces fresh abuse allegations from his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Hallie Aiono, just as he was closing in on a contract extension that could have made him the NFL's highest-paid receiver. Aiono made the claims in a TikTok video, later deleted, describing "extreme betrayal, abuse, complete neglect" during their four-year relationship and saying private incidents affected her more than public disputes. The allegations come amid a turbulent offseason for Nacua and add further uncertainty to negotiations over a new deal reportedly worth up to $150 million.

The new claims follow a March civil lawsuit from Madison Atiabi, who accused Nacua of biting her shoulder, biting another woman's thumb and using an anti-Semitic slur at a New Year's Eve party; his attorney has strongly denied the allegations, calling them an extortion attempt and describing the biting as "horseplay". Nacua, who led the NFL last season with 129 catches and 1,715 receiving yards, voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility in early March. The Rams are reportedly not expecting to extend his contract before the season, and the NFL is separately reviewing his conduct under its Personal Conduct Policy, which could lead to discipline even without criminal charges.
