The changes focus on faster launch times, greater graphical flexibility, and smoother cross-platform play with friends, reflecting EA's effort to maintain PC as a leading option for the football franchise from launch day rather than patching issues afterwards.

Key upgrades include load times cut by roughly 50% when launching via the EA App or Steam, additional graphical presets ranging up to an "ultra" setting capable of 120 FPS, and a new VRAM indicator to help players gauge expected performance. Steam players will also be able to connect and invite friends automatically through EA Connect without needing the EA App, while an optional Enhanced Ultra Visuals mode—switched off by default—offers extra fidelity for capable systems. EA says overall responsiveness should also improve compared with FC 26, though actual gains will vary depending on individual hardware.
