Dragon’s Dogma 2 Frame Rates Massively Improved with Patch 3.2 on PS5, PS5 Pro
Capcom's Patch 3.2 for Dragon's Dogma 2 has delivered dramatic frame rate improvements on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, addressing performance problems that have dogged the open-world RPG since launch. According to Push Square's testing, the update goes far beyond the developer's stated goal of general optimisation, transforming how the game runs on both consoles ahead of the release of its Dark Arisen expansion.
On base PS5, Performance mode now holds a steady 60fps even in crowded areas such as the city of Vernworth, while PS5 Pro owners can uncap the frame rate for smoothness reportedly topping 100fps with ray tracing off, or a consistent 60fps-plus with it enabled. The Pro version also now uses Sony's upgraded PSSR upscaler, helping maintain visual clarity alongside the performance gains. The overhaul comes roughly two and a half years after launch, following similar engine fixes Capcom made for Monster Hunter Wilds, and readies Dragon's Dogma 2 for its Dark Arisen expansion launching in October.
