A resurfaced anecdote from actor Tom Arnold recounts a bitter parking-space dispute between the casts of his 1990s sitcom "The Jackie Thomas Show" and "Seinfeld", which culminated in his then-wife Roseanne Barr taping a photograph of John Goodman's bare backside to Julia Louis-Dreyfus's car. The incident, which Arnold described to The AV Club, became notorious enough in Hollywood circles that it was even referenced during that year's Oscars, and Arnold later reworked the saga into an episode of his own show.

The row began when Louis-Dreyfus unknowingly parked in Arnold's designated spot on the shared studio lot, prompting him to leave a "nasty note" on her car. Once he realised the note was aimed at a "Seinfeld" star, Arnold tried to smooth things over via co-star Jason Alexander, but the apology was rejected, escalating into what he called a "stupid skirmish". Barr then upped the ante by attaching the Goodman photograph, captioned in soap as "Julia Louis Dry-puss", to Louis-Dreyfus's car, an act Arnold wryly labelled "very, very mature, very adult".
