Garth Brooks Fans Think He’s Playing a Secret Show in Denver Under an Alias—Here’s Why

Country star Garth Brooks is fuelling speculation among fans that he'll play a secret fifth show in Denver, Colorado, ahead of his four already-scheduled concerts there. The buzz began after local venue the Grizzly Rose promoted an upcoming gig by an act called "Yukon Jack," with fans quickly connecting the dots given Brooks's known ties to the venue and its unusual, at-the-door ticketing approach.

The Yukon Jack show is set for 3 September, the day before Brooks's first performance at Ball Arena, with tickets sold only at the door from two hours before doors open. According to a local radio programme director, Brooks previously performed a small pop-up gig under the "Yukon Jack" alias back in 1993, and he has long expressed affection for the Grizzly Rose, referencing it in his 1995 song "The Old Stuff" and telling a local NBC affiliate in August he'd "play that place tomorrow." The mystery show falls during Brooks's Blame It All on My Roots Tour, which began in Indianapolis in August and will continue on to Chicago, Washington D.C. and Orlando after Denver, with further dates expected to be announced soon.
