Which Songs Gained the Most From Their ‘GTA VI’ Extended Look Trailer Inclusion?
Rockstar Games' 30-second "Extended Look" trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, released on 27 August, has driven sharp streaming gains for several featured songs, underlining the outsized promotional power of the long-running franchise ahead of the game's 19 November launch. The nearly half-hour preview has amassed over 19 million YouTube views, and Billboard reports that almost every track used in it saw a boost in US on-demand streams in the days that followed, spanning both decades-old classics and more recent releases.
Older hits benefiting include The Bellamy Brothers' "Let Your Love Flow" (up 43% to 422,000 streams), Depeche Mode's "People Are People" (up 89% to 221,000) and Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman" (up 386% to 321,000). The biggest gains, however, went to two 2021 dance tracks: Chimbala x Omega's "Se Me Nota (Agárrame)" surged 3,047% to 464,000 streams, while Elderbrook and Bob Moses' "Inner Light" rose 462% to 694,000 streams, with both also climbing into Shazam's US Top 200, "Inner Light" reaching number one. Further streaming activity is expected once the full game is released in November.
