Weezer have launched "Weezer: The Gathering," a 32-date North American arena tour with support from The Shins and Silversun Pickups, timed to coincide with the release of their 16th studio album, the self-titled Weezer (aka The Gold Album). The record marks a notable shift for the band, being their most collaborative effort in years, with all four members writing and recording together in the same room for the first time since their 1994 debut, and it matters as a rare full-circle moment for a band 30-plus years into its career.

The North American leg runs from 8 September in Sacramento to 24 October in Los Angeles, taking in cities including San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Nashville and Austin, before a second leg in early 2027 covers Japan, Ireland, the UK and Europe with Taking Back Sunday. Tickets have been on sale since 3 April via Ticketmaster, with resale prices on the secondary market currently ranging from around $50 (Phoenix) to $180 (Toronto), and Los Angeles and Boston also among the pricier stops in the $140s. The tour follows 2024's 30th-anniversary "Voyage to the Blue Planet" trek and comes after the band previewed the new album with singles including "Shine Again," "We Might As Well Be Strangers" (featuring Wednesday's Karly Hartzman) and "C.E.O."
