The headwear is being offered as a downloadable add-on through the in-game shop rather than earned through normal gameplay progression, making the redemption process less straightforward than acquiring standard gear.

Players can claim the free hat from the shop between 31 August and 30 September 2026, after which it is unclear whether it will remain available as a paid item or be removed entirely. Once downloaded, the hat appears automatically in the player's inventory on next launch, with a pop-up confirming the unlock; it can then be equipped via the Gear page's "Collections" section under headwear options.
