Experiencing some day one Blood of Dawnwalker issues? Its devs know, and have some temporary solutions to help get you bloodsucking
The Blood of Dawnwalker, the debut title from Rebel Wolves and director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz's first game since The Witcher 3, has launched with several day-one issues on PC. The developers have acknowledged the problems and published temporary workarounds while permanent fixes are prepared, a common occurrence for major releases.
Known issues include stuttering in windowed or borderless mode, which can be avoided by launching in full screen, and crashes during shader compilation, which the developers say can be fixed by updating your BIOS. There is also no button remapping option for PS5 controllers, which the studio says it is working on, plus a bug where sprinting stops when changing direction with a gamepad, temporarily worked around by lowering controller sensitivity from 1 to 0.8. Despite the launch troubles, RPS gave the game its Bestest Bests badge, with reviewer Mark Warren praising it as worthy of a place alongside CD Projekt Red's RPGs.
