The English rock band Squeeze cancelled their scheduled concert at Wolf Trap National Park in Vienna, Virginia, on Thursday after a tour bus worker was killed in an accident at the venue. The man was reportedly crushed while working underneath a bus when a supporting apparatus failed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before the band was due on stage.

Police were called to the venue at around 5pm, roughly two and a half hours before Squeeze's scheduled 7.30pm performance. Both the band and Wolf Trap confirmed the cancellation in statements, with Squeeze saying they were "deeply saddened and shocked" and offering their thoughts to those affected, while noting they would discuss a possible rescheduling with the promoter and venue. The show was part of a 27-date North American tour promoting Squeeze's new album, Trixies, released in March but originally recorded back in 1974.
