Anya Taylor-Joy's 2017 psychological horror film Marrowbone has become available to stream on Prime Video in the US, giving renewed visibility to an early role from an actor who has since become a major box-office draw. The 110-minute film, directed by Sergio G. Sánchez, follows a young man and his younger siblings who conceal their mother's death to stay together, only to be haunted by a sinister presence in their home; it also stars Charlie Heaton and Mia Goth.

Marrowbone was made for under $10 million and took $12 million at the box office, meaning it was not a significant loss for distributor Universal despite modest ticket sales. It can be watched via Prime Video's Magnolia Selects and Monsters and Nightmares channels, both offering free trials. Critics were lukewarm, giving it 49% on Rotten Tomatoes, though audiences rated it more favourably at 71%. The news comes as Taylor-Joy's profile continues to rise, with recent roles including Apple TV's Lucky and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and an upcoming part in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
