Tom Cruise's sci-fi film "Edge of Tomorrow" has become available to stream on Paramount+ from 1 September, giving the well-regarded 2014 blockbuster a new streaming home over a decade after its cinema release. The film, which cost around $370 million, is widely considered one of the standout science-fiction action films of the 2010s, despite underperforming at the box office relative to its critical reception at the time.

Based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel "All You Need Is Kill", the story follows Cruise's Major William Cage, a public relations officer thrust into front-line combat against an alien species called the Mimics, who becomes trapped in a time loop after being killed and repeatedly reliving the same battle. Emily Blunt co-stars as Sergeant Rita Vrataski, alongside Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic and Charlotte Riley, with Doug Liman directing. The film currently holds a 91% critics' score and 90% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
