Audible previewed its ambitious multilingual audio adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula at the Venice Film Festival, showcasing what it calls its biggest audio production to date. The English-language version stars Jonathan Bailey as Dracula, Ella Purnell as Mina, and Venice jury president Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing, directed by Mary Lambert in her audio directorial debut, with parallel versions being produced in seven languages using local A-list casts and directors.

Audible's Head of Content Aurelie de Troyer said writer Robyn Ahern's adaptation gives greater agency to Mina, framing the psychological duel between her and Dracula as the story's core and positioning Mina as its true hero. De Troyer said Venice was chosen deliberately to underline Audible's cinematic production ambitions, while Lambert, best known for directing Pet Sematary, said Stoker's 129-year-old novel remains resonant because vampire stories continue to help audiences process real-world horrors.
