Shailene Woodley Wins First Emmy For ‘Paradise’, Gives Shoutout To Her Mom

Shailene Woodley won her first Emmy Award, taking home Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Season 2 of Hulu's *Paradise*. The win, announced on Night 2 of the 2026 Emmy Awards, marks the first Emmy for the Dan Fogelman-created post-apocalyptic drama and recognises Woodley's performance as Annie, a former Graceland tour guide whose storyline concluded in a widely praised, emotional arc.

Woodley dedicated the win to her mother during her acceptance speech, calling herself lucky to work alongside her "traveling storytelling clowns." It was her second Emmy nomination, after being recognised in 2017 for HBO's *Big Little Lies*. *Paradise* received seven Emmy nominations this year, including Outstanding Drama Series, up from four the previous season, and Woodley beat out five other nominees, including three from *The Pitt* and one each from *Poker Face*/*Prilubus* and *The Gilded Age*.
