Two years after its cinema release, Venom: The Last Dance has become an unexpected hit on Disney+, ranking among the ten most-watched films on the platform in the US. The film, which closed out Tom Hardy's Venom trilogy, drew mixed reviews from critics on its initial release but proved more popular with audiences, boosted by renewed interest in Hardy ahead of his return in MobLand Season 2, which begins streaming on Paramount+ on 18 September.

The Last Dance holds a 79% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and starred Hardy alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans and Stephen Graham. Made on a reported $110 million budget, it grossed just under $500 million worldwide ($140 million domestically and $335 million overseas), though this made it the lowest-grossing entry in the trilogy, suggesting waning box-office enthusiasm for Hardy's Eddie Brock even as streaming demand remains strong.
