Pantera to Headline NOLA Festival Featuring Down, Corrosion of Conformity, and Black Label Society

Consequence · 2 hours ago

Pantera will headline a new two-day metal festival, The Great NOLA Trendkill, taking place on 20–21 November at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans. The event marks frontman Philip Anselmo's first hometown show with the band in 30 years and brings together a heavyweight bill of metal and sludge acts, underlining New Orleans' significance in the genre's history.

The lineup includes Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, Power Trip, Crowbar, Eyehategod, Pig Destroyer, Rāde and Herakleion. Anselmo will perform twice, fronting both Pantera and Down, with the latter's set doubling as the release show for Down's forthcoming album, Volume V. The festival's name nods to Pantera's 1996 record The Great Southern Trendkill, now marking its 30th anniversary, and will run alongside Anselmo's Housecore Horror convention. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 11 September at 10am CT via Ticketmaster, following a pre-sale using the code NOLA.
