Glamorous mom walked down aisle with doting restaurateur son at his lavish Lake Como wedding… months later, she bled out on his apartment floor as he clenched the murder weapon, police say

A Miami restaurant manager has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his mother, whom he had walked down the aisle at his lavish wedding on Italy's Lake Como only months earlier. Stefano Cremasco Cicero, 36, is accused of fatally stabbing his mother, Isabel Cicero Chavez, inside his 47th-floor Miami apartment, before being found in the building's lobby covered in blood and carrying a knife. The case has drawn attention for the stark contrast between the affectionate mother-son images from his June 2025 wedding and the violent circumstances of her death little over a year later.

Police say a food delivery driver called 911 around 5am on Friday after Cicero, covered in blood, asked her to summon help; he then led officers to his flat, where his mother was found with multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead at 5.08am. Investigators recovered bloodstained kitchen knives, two blood-soaked shirts and broken glass at the scene, while building surveillance footage and key fob records tracked the pair entering the apartment together the previous night and Cicero later leaving alone, blood-spattered and still holding a knife. Cicero, a manager at a Coconut Grove steakhouse, told police he was "defending" himself; he has been arrested on a charge of second-degree murder, and no official cause of death has yet been released.
