Sega has confirmed physical release plans for its two Sonic anniversary collections on Nintendo Switch, with box art and pre-orders now appearing via a Canadian distributor ahead of an October launch. The "Classic Sonic Collection" and "Modern Sonic Collection" were originally announced in June as part of Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th anniversary celebrations, bundling together previously released titles for players who missed them the first time round.

The Classic Sonic Collection includes Sonic Mania, Sonic Origins and Sonic Superstars, while the Modern Sonic Collection includes Sonic Forces, Sonic Colors Ultimate and Sonic Frontiers. Both are priced at $69.99 CAD (roughly $50 USD) and are due out on 20th October 2026, complete with a 35th anniversary logo patch and reversible cover sheets. Notably, the physical bundles reportedly won't include the Plus DLC content for Origins or Mania, echoing similar omissions in some past physical re-releases.
