A body has been found ten days after a 15-year-old boy from Yorkshire was swept out to sea while on a family holiday at Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire, west Wales. The boy entered the water with his father and brother on 30 August, and all three were dragged out by choppy conditions before the father and brother managed to swim back to shore, while the teenager, thought to have hit his head, could not be found. His disappearance triggered a major search involving the RNLI, HM Coastguard and police, which was eventually stood down two days later without success.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed a body had been recovered and that the boy's next of kin had been informed, though formal identification has not yet been announced. Witnesses described large, powerful waves and an incoming tide with onshore winds at the time, with locals reporting search helicopters circling the area for up to four hours that evening. Marloes Sands is a popular tourist beach known for submerged rocks that can make swimming hazardous.
