Madring boss Luis Garcia Abad, formerly Fernando Alonso's manager, described the project as having started "as a joke, a fantasy" before becoming reality. Organisers are leaning on the city's compact size and strong public transport, cutting back on car parking, while local fans expressed cautious curiosity about the event, noting that first-year organisation can be "messy" but hoping it raises Madrid's global profile beyond football.
