Mediawan Kids & Family has unveiled "Witch Detectives", a new pan-European animated series it is showcasing as its flagship title at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre ahead of MIPCOM. Produced by Mediawan subsidiary Method Animation for broadcasters including the BBC, Rai, TF1 and Super RTL, the show marks the company's latest attempt to build an original IP with cross-border appeal, blending French creative roots with a broader European sensibility.

The 26-episode, half-hour 3D series follows three teenage witch trainees, Maya, Max and Millie, who become private investigators running a secret detective agency, using their magical powers to solve crimes, disappearances and burglaries. Co-creator Justine Cheynet described the concept as "Harry Potter" meets "Charlie's Angels", built around a procedural format designed to appeal to both children aged 7-10 and their parents. The series is set in an imaginary city called Faybridge, blending London, Paris and Rome, and international sales are being handled by Entourage Media and Mediawan Kids & Family Distribution.
