Turnstile, Rosalía, KATSEYE, Gracie Abrams set for new season of ‘SNL’, while Royal Blood and Rachel Chinouriri sign up for ‘SNL UK’
Saturday Night Live has confirmed hosts and musical guests for the first four episodes of its 52nd US season, which begins on 26 September, while the second series of the British spin-off SNL UK returns even sooner, on 13 September. The announcement covers a mix of major music names making their SNL debuts, including KATSEYE, Turnstile and Rosalía, alongside established UK acts such as Royal Blood and Rachel Chinouriri, underlining both shows' efforts to pair topical hosts with buzzy musical guests each week.
On the US side, NBA star Jalen Brunson hosts the season opener with KATSEYE performing, followed by Dakota Johnson with Turnstile, Shane Gillis with Rosalía, and a Halloween episode on 31 October hosted by Inde Navarrette featuring Gracie Abrams. SNL UK, which launched on Sky One in March with Tina Fey and Wet Leg, kicks off its new run with Jeff Goldblum and CMAT, before Jamie Demetriou and Royal Blood (promoting their album "Dead Company") on 19 September, and Amelia Dimoldenberg with Rachel Chinouriri on 26 September; all 11 original cast members return, with episodes already confirmed through 2027.
