Global Citizen has expanded the line-up for its 2026 Global Citizen Festival, adding Alicia Keys, Victoria Monét, Yeonjun and Yoshiki to a bill that already featured Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend and others. The free event, hosted by Hugh Jackman on 26 September in New York's Central Park, aims to raise awareness of extreme poverty and follows the success of Global Citizen's FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, which raised $60 million for education causes.

Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will mark the 30th anniversary of the Fugees' album The Score, with further performers including Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey and Tomorrow X Together, plus appearances from figures such as Rachel Brosnahan, Gayle King and Katie Couric. Global Citizen, which describes itself as the world's largest movement against extreme poverty, is using the festival to campaign for schooling for 2 million children, support for 1.5 million smallholder farmers, and electricity for 2.5 million homes. Tickets are free and obtained via the Global Citizen app by completing "action journeys" or making a $25 donation, with proceeds benefiting New York's City Parks Foundation and homelessness charities.
