Blue Fox Launches Sales On YA Rom-Com ‘Buster Brooks’ With Matt Cornett & Melissa Collazo — TIFF Market
Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to the YA romantic comedy "Buster Brooks", written and directed by Savannah Ostler, and will launch international sales on the film at this week's TIFF market in Toronto. The film stars Matt Cornett as a small-town farm boy who moves to Hollywood chasing his acting dream, where he becomes torn between a budding romance with Lucy, played by Melissa Collazo, and the family he leaves behind. The acquisition gives the project a route to buyers during one of the industry's key sales markets.
The supporting cast includes Vanessa Angel and Corin Nemec as Buster's parents, Glenn Morshower as his uncle, and Alison Arngrim, Charlotte Hemmings and Artemis Pebdani in further roles. The film was produced by Tony Toscano, McCord Larsen, Steven D'Alo and Ostler herself across three production companies, with Blue Fox's Heidi Huntsman praising its "bold, original" premise and Cornett's performance, while Ostler described the project as a long and meaningful personal journey now heading to a global audience.
