HBO has announced that a live capture of the Broadway and West End hit *Oh, Mary!*, written by and starring Cole Escola, will debut on HBO and stream on HBO Max in 2027. The filmed performance, recorded at London's Trafalgar Theatre in July 2026, sees Escola reprise his role as Mary Todd Lincoln in the dark comedy set in the weeks before Abraham Lincoln's assassination. The announcement extends the reach of a show that has become one of theatre's biggest recent commercial successes.

The taped performance also stars Giles Terera, Bianca Leigh, Tony Macht and Michael Urie, though no specific premiere date has been given. Since transferring to Broadway's Lyceum Theatre in July 2024, *Oh, Mary!* became the first production in the venue's 121-year history to gross over $1 million in a week, has broken its own box office record fifteen times, and was the first show of the 2024-25 Broadway season to recoup its reported $4.5 million capitalisation. The production opened on the West End in December 2025 and is set to begin a North American tour this month.
