A charity speedrunning marathon called Flame Fatales returns for its 2026 edition, running from 13 to 19 September in aid of the Malala Fund. Organised by Frame Fatales, a Games Done Quick community group that highlights women and femmes in speedrunning, the event will stream live across the week on GDQ's Twitch and YouTube channels, offering viewers a mix of skilled play-throughs and light-hearted challenge runs.

Unlike GDQ's round-the-clock mainstage events, each day's broadcast runs from roughly 1PM to midnight ET, with more than 50 runs scheduled across the week. Highlights include a 70 Star race in a chaos-modded Super Mario 64 on Monday, a lockout bingo race in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Wednesday, and a closing day featuring Hollow Knight: Silksong and Mass Effect 3. The Malala Fund supports secondary education for girls worldwide, and Frame Fatales has raised over $1 million for its charity partners since 2019.
