Actress Inês Aires Pereira withdrew her show Namastê, saying via Instagram that one of the festival's names "persistently defends ideas and acts I consider indefensible," referencing Gaza, while duo Cebola Mol also pulled out with a Palestinian-solidarity watermelon emoji. Other acts, including Tributo Pop, Pedro Tochas, Conjunto Cuca Monga and Vhils, exited without explanation. Seinfeld, still listed on the festival's website, has previously dismissed calls for a "Free Palestine" and likened the phrase's use to concealing anti-Jewish sentiment. Commentator Tim Young, of the Heritage Foundation, argued the withdrawals were performative and would not dent Seinfeld's career, calling him "uncancellable."
