Bali police have identified four Australian men they allege attacked Perth grandfather Paul Dougan outside a bar in Kuta, three weeks after he died from his injuries. Mr Dougan, a British man living in Australia, was set upon by a group of four strangers at the One Tribe Bar in August, suffering severe injuries that led to his death on 20 August. The case has drawn international attention as Indonesian authorities now seek Australia's help to arrest and potentially extradite the suspects.

Police identified the four men, known only by the initials RGG, PAM, JRM and TRZ, using CCTV footage and facial recognition technology, and say they have since flown back to Australia. Denpasar police spokesman Gede Adi Saputra Jaya said officers were coordinating with Indonesia's international police division and the Australian Federal Police to secure the men's return, though no arrests had yet been confirmed. Mr Dougan suffered internal bleeding, 10 broken ribs and had his spleen removed, undergoing three surgeries and four blood transfusions before dying after a 10-day fight for life; his family had raised more than $70,000 to cover medical costs before his death.
