Actor Colman Domingo hosted the fifth annual Caring for Women Dinner in New York, a fundraiser organised by the Kering Foundation, where he called on men to actively support women's rights rather than remain passive observers. The black-tie event, held at The Pool, brought together celebrities including co-hosts Salma Hayek Pinault, François-Henri Pinault, Simone Biles, Dakota Johnson, Pamela Anderson and Benicio del Toro, many wearing outfits from Kering-owned fashion houses such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta.

The evening raised more than $5 million (roughly £4 million) for four organisations tackling violence against women and children: Activating Change, Fondo Semillas, JBWS and The New York Women's Foundation. Funds came from ticket sales and a live auction featuring items from Kering brands, with an online auction launching on 14 September for the first time, offering items including a Boucheron brooch and a signed leotard from Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
