Leaked specifications suggest Lenovo's forthcoming Googlebook 15 will be a high-end device, marking a significant step up from the Chromebook line it succeeds. Reported by MacObserver, the laptop is part of Google's new Googlebook platform, an Android-based lineup due to launch later this year, and its premium components indicate these devices will be pitched well above typical Chromebook pricing.

The Googlebook 15 is said to feature a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate, 2,880 x 1,800 resolution and 500 nits peak brightness, paired with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of storage. This exceeds the minimum specifications required for Google's existing Chromebook Plus tier. The extra power likely supports Gemini Intelligence features such as "Magic Cursor," which turns the mouse cursor into a Gemini prompting tool, alongside a distinctive LED light strip called a "glowbar." Google is expected to preview its first wave of Googlebooks at a media event on 15 September 2026.
