Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina, the next instalment in TYPE-MOON's fighting game series, has been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on 22nd April 2027. Developer French Bread and publisher Aniplex first revealed the game with a teaser trailer at EVO Japan in May 2026, and a new trailer released in September has now locked in the specific launch date alongside further details.

The game builds on Melty Blood: Type Lumina, originally released on the Switch eShop in 2021 and later updated for Switch 2 compatibility, and is set in the world of Type-Moon's visual novel Tsukihime. Twi-Lumina promises refined battle mechanics, an upgraded cast, new characters including Len, and a new main story written by series creator Kinoko Nasu centred on protagonist Shiki Tohno, with players navigating the fictional Souya City through various battles.
