The Property Masters Guild handed out its third annual MacGuffin Awards on Saturday, recognising outstanding prop work in film and television, including on "One Battle After Another," "Frankenstein" and "Avatar: Fire and Ash." The awards aim to highlight the property master craft, which organisers say is central to building on-screen worlds and, at times, driving a story's narrative through its objects.

Matthew Cavaliero and Robbie Duncan won Contemporary Feature Film for "One Battle After Another," Christopher Geggie won Period Feature Film for "Frankenstein," and Brad Elliott and Melissa Spicer won Fantasy Science Fiction Feature Film for "Avatar: Fire and Ash." Television honours went to shows including "The 'Burbs," "Spider-Noir" and "Fallout," while Luis Castro received the Humanitarian Award for food styling work, Trish Reilly earned the President's Award for her career across productions such as "Obi-Wan" and "American Horror Story," and Barry Wilkinson received the Lifetime Achievement Award after more than four decades in the property department.
