Andrew Dice Clay has signed on for a voice role in "Lizard Music," Benny Safdie's live-action/CGI hybrid film being produced by Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists. The character he will voice has not yet been revealed, but the casting adds a veteran comedian and actor to an ensemble led by newcomer Theo Clark Leber alongside stars including Dwayne Johnson, Alicia Silverstone, Tim Heidecker, Arya Parvathi and Regina Hall.

Based on Daniel Pinkwater's novel, the film follows a boy who discovers a secret late-night broadcast of lizards playing music, leading him to an eccentric figure known as The Chicken Man (Johnson) and his 111-year-old chicken companion, Claudia, on a fantastical adventure. Safdie is directing from his own screenplay, with producers including UA's Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt, Safdie himself, Johnson and David Koplan. Clay, known for standout roles in "Blue Jasmine," "A Star Is Born" and "The Pickup," as well as television work including his own Showtime series "Dice," is represented by Independent Artist Group.
