Mom-of-four left fighting for life after hit-and-run driver rammed her off bike as family hunts for culprit

Daily Mail · 1 day ago

Lisa Martinez, a 42-year-old mother of four, is fighting for her life after being struck by a car while riding her bicycle in Oak Cliff, Dallas, on 29 August. The driver fled the scene before police arrived, and both Martinez's family and Dallas Police are now appealing for information to identify and locate the culprit.

Martinez suffered multiple broken bones in the collision, which occurred at around 9pm, and remains on life support in a critical condition. Her niece, Erica Moreno Garcia, has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover her medical costs, as Martinez does not have health insurance; the fundraiser has so far raised almost $900 towards its $20,000 target, while relatives keep vigil at her bedside in the hope she will recover.
