Murray swaps professional tennis for Lego building in new campaign
Sir Andy Murray has appeared in a new advert for Lego, encouraging adults to take up brick-building as a hobby, marking his latest venture since retiring from professional tennis. The campaign, aimed at getting grown-ups to "awaken their joy", plays on Murray's famously deadpan humour, showing him dressed in cycling gear before he swaps a real bike ride for assembling a Lego model instead.
In the advert, Murray builds the 1,015-piece Lego Icons Road Bike set, deadpanning that the experience was "the best time of my life". The double Wimbledon champion, 39, has taken on several ambassadorial roles since leaving tennis in 2024, including deals with Walker's Shortbread, Albert Bartlett potatoes, pet food brand Purina and Callaway golf clubs. He said the build required focus and patience, ultimately delivering "that unexpected feeling of pure, simple joy".
