Comp AI sets eyes on a continuously agentic future for security and compliance
Comp AI, a cybersecurity and compliance startup, announced a $34 million Series A funding round led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures. The company is building an AI-powered platform to automate tedious security and compliance work, such as drafting security policies and collecting evidence for audits, which is becoming increasingly important as companies rapidly deploy AI agents in their operations.
The startup was founded in January by Lewis Carhart (CEO), Claudio Fuentes (COO), and Mariano Fuentes (CTO), who previously built LeapAI, a workflow platform that grew to over a million users before shutting down after two years. Comp AI's platform continuously monitors compliance controls and includes AI-powered penetration testing; the team emphasises that whilst AI agents handle routine tasks, humans remain responsible for reviewing and approving consequential actions. To date, the company has raised $37.5 million in total funding.
