DJI has unveiled the SDR Transmission II, a professional wireless video transmission system that marks a substantial upgrade to its original offering. The new system is designed to benefit multi-camera productions in demanding environments, from sports broadcasts to FPV drone work, providing significantly improved image quality and transmission range compared to its predecessor.

The SDR Transmission II can transmit 4K 60 fps HDR video at 50Mbps up to 2.5 miles (4 km), compared to the original system's 1080p at 20Mbps and 1.8 miles range. It supports connectivity between multiple transceivers—up to five transmitters and 40 receivers simultaneously—with low latency of 35 milliseconds, enabling responsive remote camera control including focus pulling and gimbal adjustments. The system also features seamless switching between camera feeds, smartphone monitoring, and remote control over camera settings such as aperture and ISO on compatible equipment. Priced from £309 for a single transceiver or £559 for a combo two-pack, the system is currently available in Europe but not yet in the United States owing to trade restrictions on certain DJI products.
