Ireland's national broadcaster RTE has announced that the country will not participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, marking the second consecutive year of boycott. The decision is based on opposition to Israel's participation in the competition, citing the ongoing humanitarian crisis and loss of life in Gaza. This follows Ireland's 2026 boycott, when it was one of five nations to withdraw in protest against Israel's involvement; the Netherlands has also confirmed it will boycott again in 2027.

The 2027 Eurovision will take place in Burgas, Bulgaria, following their first-ever victory in the 2026 competition. Israel has participated in Eurovision since 1973, though calls for its exclusion have intensified amid the Gaza conflict and increased security measures at recent contests in Malmö, Basel and Vienna. The European Broadcasting Union's director stated that whilst the organisation regretted RTE's decision, it respected their position and considered Ireland a valued member of the Eurovision family.
