Avengers: Endgame is returning to North American cinemas with a rerelease expected to lead a busy weekend at the box office. The Disney event, which includes an exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday, highlights the continuing commercial strength of Marvel’s 2019 blockbuster while competing with several major new releases.

The film earned about $11.2 million on Friday, including previews, and is projected to make $26 million domestically. Resident Evil is forecast to place second with $23.5 million, followed by Primetime and Heart of the Beast at roughly $20.5 million and $20 million respectively; Forgotten Island is expected to take $11.5 million. Endgame originally opened to $1.2 billion worldwide and eventually grossed $2.7 billion, while Universal separately passed $5 billion at the global box office in 2026.
