Stapleford Park, a Grade I-listed 15th-century country mansion in Leicestershire, has been listed for sale at £18 million following its closure in October 2024. The 48-bedroom property, which operated as a luxury hotel and wedding venue in recent years, ceased operations due to adverse trading conditions, with bookings cancelled at short notice. The sale represents a significant moment for a property of considerable historical and cultural importance to the region.

The estate comprises 54 acres and features a seven-room spa and wellness centre, four tennis courts, and an indoor pool. Its recent distinguished guest list included celebrities such as Lionel Richie, David Beckham, Will Smith, Mariah Carey and Naomi Campbell; Michael Jackson attended a royal celebration there in 2007, whilst Guns N' Roses stayed during Download Festival in 2018. The property dates back to at least the 11th century according to the Domesday Book and was owned by the Sherard family for nearly 500 years, during which Capability Brown redesigned its parkland.
