A council plans to sell surplus brownfield sites to help deliver about 200 affordable homes. The proposal aims to bring underused land back into use while increasing the supply of lower-cost housing for local residents.

The homes are expected to be delivered across five sites in partnership with a housing provider, with a focus on energy-efficient, net-zero-ready properties. Some of the more difficult brownfield sites may require public funding to make development viable, and the plans remain subject to further planning and approval.
