Secuoya Studios has appointed Carla Gómez as head of development and executive producer for Latin America, expanding its creative and production leadership in the region. Her role will cover original projects from concept to production and supports the Spanish studio’s strategy of giving its Latin American operation greater autonomy while prioritising locally created stories for Mexico, Colombia and the US Hispanic market.

Gómez brings more than 20 years’ experience from ViX, HBO, Viacom, NBCUniversal and Netflix, as well as projects developed through her company, Cielito Studio. Her credits include “Isla Brava”, “El Gallo de Oro” and HBO Latin America’s “Sierra Madre”. Secuoya’s regional slate includes Netflix film “La Celda de los Milagros”, which drew 21 million global views in the first half of 2026, alongside upcoming titles “Belleza” and “La Corona”.
