Michelle Tiller, a 44-year-old mother of two, died after being struck by a car while cycling on Lindsay Avenue in Northampton on 1 September. She was taken to University Hospital Coventry but died more than two weeks later; an 80-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and released on bail. Her family has paid tribute to her as a kind, joyful and selfless woman.

Tiller’s husband, Robert, said she devoted herself to their children, Riley, 20, and Cameron, 15, while also caring for him as his disabilities became more challenging. She worked in supported living, managed stables, travelled by bicycle and shared a close bond with their Springer Spaniel, Luna. The couple had been together for 23 years before marrying in 2025.
