Netflix has released a trailer for "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth," a sequel to Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" that will be directed by David Fincher instead of Tarantino himself. Brad Pitt returns in his Oscar-winning role as stuntman Cliff Booth, now working as a Hollywood "studio fixer" in 1977. This collaboration represents a notable development in contemporary Hollywood, with Fincher taking the helm of a sequel to an acclaimed Tarantino film.

The film premieres in IMAX theatres on 25 November before arriving on Netflix on 23 December. Timothy Olyphant reprises his role as James Stacy, whilst Leonardo DiCaprio does not return as Rick Dalton; the cast is rounded out by Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany and JB Tadena in new roles. Tarantino explained his decision to step aside from directing in an August 2025 podcast interview, stating he felt he was "walking down the same ground" and needed to explore "uncharted territory," though he remains enthusiastic about Fincher's involvement and serves as a producer on the film.
