Carson Daly will not host The Voice’s 31st season because the programme is switching to a celebrity-focused format, The Voice: Celebrity. Daly said he was not the right host for this special season, but stressed that he is not leaving the franchise permanently and will continue supporting its launch as a producer.

Daly has hosted and produced every episode across 30 seasons and 16 years. Keke Palmer will host the new celebrity edition, which will feature athletes, comedians and influencers rather than aspiring singers, while the regular version of The Voice is expected to remain part of Daly’s future.
