Police constable Fiona Anderson is on trial accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a 2018 visit to Cardiff. Prosecutors allege Anderson continued despite the woman saying she did not want sex, and argue her conduct amounted to sexual offending; Anderson denies the charges.

The Bristol Crown Court jury heard that Anderson was heavily intoxicated and allegedly said, “I know the law, I need you to say yes.” The complainant reportedly contacted police in March 2023 about the alleged incident, which prosecutors say left her struggling to understand what had happened; the four-day trial is continuing.
